Work Based Learning impacts our students’ future and gives these students a chance to be a contributing member of their community. WBL has been proven to be successful in creating jobs for students with disabilities and will help prepare our students for aging out of school programs. Special Education teachers know a lot about teamwork. Teamwork makes our academics, classroom management, and case management easier. When thinking about the “team” it’s easy to include; teachers, parents, students, service providers, and specialists. Oftentimes administration is a forgotten member of the special education team.
